In 1979 Arthur Ellery Jr. founded SMI Prototype Tool & Die in Cocoa Florida after decades as a tool and die maker in Michigan. Since then we have remained a family owned and operated business spanning 3 generations of detrmend individuals that take pride in all the work we do. With our small number of employees your work is always kept track of and is provided with the utmost attention to detail. While we still retain the capacity to produce large quantity and quick turn-over orders. With over 40 years of manufacturing experience we have seen many different designs and philosophies from many customers and learned that flexibility and the ability to jump to the next job quickly and effectively are essential to meet customer demands, while still understanding the importance in customer relations and the small details that make intricate parts function as intended.
