In 1979 Arthur Ellery Jr. founded SMI Prototype Tool & Die in Cocoa Florida after decades as a tool and die maker in Michigan. Since then, we have remained a family owned and operated business spanning 4 generations of determined individuals taking pride in all the work we do. With our small number of employees, your work is always kept track of and is provided with the utmost attention to detail, while retaining the capacity to produce large quantity production and quick turn-over orders. With over 46 years of manufacturing experience, we have seen many different designs and philosophies from many different customers and learned that flexibility and the ability to jump to the next job quickly and effectively are essential to meet customer demands. While still understanding the importance in customer relations and the small details that make intricate parts function as intended.
